As a director, I am incredibly invested in telling stories whose breadths and scopes stretch the human body to its physical limitations and expand outside of the conventional theatre space. I have had the most fun encountering these challenges through classical works which skirmish with the major ideas of humanity and in the stories which we usually reserve for children, but I believe there is also breadth and scope to be unearthed in many other places. Even shows with couches in them. Maybe.
